Blessed Child

I'm reading a book right now by Ted Dekker & Bill Bright. It's called Blessed Child. All I can say is "WOW!" I believe the main focus of the book is to get a different picture of the spiritual world. The world in which really does exist, but we can't see, unless God opens our eyes to see it. I'm not sure if the picture Ted Dekker paints is really what it looks like, but it definitely opens my eyes and is a reminder to how powerful God's love is, and how powerful our prayers can be. I'd love to get past my worldy view and see things as they are in God's kingdom. That's my desire!

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God. And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. Colossians 3:1-4

It's amazing to think that the heavenly realm isn't just for when we die. It's here for us now, and things are happening on our behalf right now. We need the eyes of faith to see what's really going on. God can heal hearts, heal bodies and change situations and it all happens because God is working in the spiritual. If we have enough faith to believe that, maybe we'd see more of what God can do.

Anyway, I definitely recommend this book!
