Sophie will only eat bananas!
At first, I gave her butternut squash, green beans, carrots, sweet potatoes and peas. She seemed to like them all when she first tried them - especially butternut squash.
So, then I introduced her to bananas, and she LOVED them. I then tried the other fruits: pears (not a fan), prunes (she thought they were o.k.) and also tried apples. She did NOT like the apples AT ALL.
So... am I supposed to just keep on giving her bananas? I want her to eat her vegetables! Any advice for a picky eater?

Don't let her have straight bananas for awhile! Get her the bananas that have other fruit mixed in them like strawberries. Don't worry about what stage of food you're giving her. I always thought the different food stages meant something, but it really just has to do with the size of the container, not the thickness of the food! So give her those stage 3 bananas with berries or strawberries. That will force her to have a little variety. Don't be afraid to give her veggies for breakfast. Sometimes that was my kids best meal, so that's when we eat the green stuff. I wouldn't worry about Sophie getting enough nutrients. She's fine nutritionally if she's on formula, but I would force the idea of variety so you don't end up with feeding issues down the road. Give her a spoonful of bananas then sneak in some sweet potatoes. Distract her and keep switching up what you give her. McKenna won't eat anything green, so I mix it in with sweet potatoes and she doesn't mind it as much.
I think Sophie is just a smart girl. She knows bananas are the best babyfood out there. She and McKenna could start a fan club b/c that's definitely McKenna's favorite too!
i would say that giving her too many bananas will bind her and she will also get sick of them as well eventually...
i agree with judy in mixing some of what she doesn't like with what she does. just be careful cuz you don't want to turn her off to what she does like!
other then that, enjoy trying to get her to eat different foods!
